After completing my training as a biomedical analyst, my husband, the dogs and I moved to the Groningen countryside to pursue our dream; a detached '30s house with a large garden for the dogs. Because time had clearly stood still here since the 1970s, the house was in serious need of a renovation.
We renovated as much as possible ourselves and I soon became more of a carpenter than an analyst! We have gained a lot of knowledge and experience during this period, and we have grown to love designing, measuring and building.
Now that the renovation is complete and the garden has been transformed into a play paradise for the dogs, I am busy designing and making nice and sturdy dog ​​beds. An indispensable item when keeping dogs.

This sweetheart has a dust mite allergy, which causes itchy red spots on his skin.
A ventilated basket that does not retain moisture and dirt can help prevent the basket from becoming a hotbed for mites.
I started looking for special hypoallergenic baskets for Ollie, and soon came across artificial leather baskets. That didn't seem very suitable to me for a dog that always digs a lot in its basket. Because Ollie is often dirty and wet from playing in the garden, it seemed to me that such a smooth artificial leather surface would quickly become sultry and slippery, and not very pleasant for his sensitive skin.
This is how I came up with a design for a well-ventilated bed, with (optional) waterproof covering, making the basket easy to keep clean.

Simple: happy dogs and happy dog ​​people!
First of all, we want to sell really good baskets and beds that will last for years and are very comfortable for the dog.
We want to prevent the basket from becoming a disposable item by using a well thought-out design and high-quality materials.
We want to make people happy with the appearance and finish of our beds, and provide transparent information about our products.

Good tools are half the job. We'll do the other half ourselves, because we don't like half work!

Using professional tools, an eye for detail and a touch of perfectionism, I (usually alone) accurately assemble the dog beds.
We continue until we are satisfied, then we send the orders as soon as possible!

I make most of the dog beds myself... But not everything! The observant MandOpMaat.nl visitor may have noticed that the hands on the woodturning photos are not women's hands :)
The dog bed legs are made by my father!

These beautiful dog bed legs can be added to your dog bed as the icing on the cake. They give your dog bed a whole new look, and can of course also be chosen to give the dog bed a different height.

Nice and nice, those anti-allergy baskets. But not every dog ​​suffers from this, and then a non-waterproof basket will of course also suffice! And if the basket is uncomfortable, shifts, or cannot tolerate normal dog behavior, it is not of much use to you.
That's why we have a dog test panel. Consisting of the always cheerful Wiebe (sheltie, right), the calmest and laziest dog of the bunch Elmo (sheltie, left), and of course Ollie the collie.

Happy customers are very important to us. We do our utmost to make beautiful and comfortable baskets and beds. With a mattress and upholstery of your choice, you can tailor our products seamlessly to the needs of your pet and your own furnishings. We also try to prevent waste by using good quality materials and also offering parts such as covers separately. Every basket and bed is carefully made by hand. Because we have largely tested the beds and upholstery fabric ourselves with the dogs, we can stand behind the design and quality of our baskets.
