Give your own twist to your new dog bed

Our dog bed legs are turned one by one on the wood lathe. With sharp chisels and gouges, rectangular wood blocks are transformed into unique furniture legs! Finally, the legs are sanded and fitted with an M8 bolt so that they are easy to attach.

Different types of wood

Our dog bed legs are made from different types of wood. Some sets are made of beech wood, some of meranti or spruce wood.
Each type of wood has its own characteristics.
Beech wood has a beautiful, neutral color and is a hard type of wood, just like meranti. Meranti is a type of wood that is even used for window frames! It is a strong wood type and has a warm red-brown color. The meranti legs are a lot heavier than the spruce legs. Spruce is a softer type of wood that is also widely used in construction. This type of wood is budget-friendly and you can paint or stain it in any color you want because we leave the legs untreated!

Different heights

The best height for your dog bed depends on a number of factors. To begin; the size of your four-legged friend. You probably won't do your Chihuahua any favors by screwing 10 cm high legs under his bed. The 10 cm high legs are therefore usually suitable for size XL and XXL beds. However, they do fit all bed sizes!
An additional advantage is that the vacuum cleaner can usually go underneath if the legs are 10 cm high.
Another factor to take into account is the age and health of your dog. While a higher entry may be easier for large older dogs, this is not desirable for small dogs and puppies. It might even be nice to lower the bed with small adjustable feet. Then the bed is only 1-2 cm off the ground. The top of the bed is still 13 - 14 cm due to the thickness of the frame, without the extra dog basket edge!
